On September 19, Xu Hai, Chairman of Leaf Biotechnology, and his entourage visited the Technical Development Company and held an exchange forum with Fan Qinghua, Party Secretary & Chairman of the Company and Executive Deputy Director of Moutai Industrial Design Center.Lv Lijuan, Deputy Party Secretary & General Manager of the Company, Gao Yanli, Member of the Party Committee & Deputy General Manager, Luo Guosu, Chief Quality Officer; Xiang Bo, Deputy General Manager of Leaf Biotechnology and Luo Zhao, Chief Marketing Officer attended the forum.

Fan Qinghua extended a warm welcome to Xu Hai and his team. He briefly reviewed the company’s development history and elaborated on the operation of the Industrial Design Center as well as business development of its subsidiaries. He noted that as a strategic supplier of Moutai Group, the Company guarantees packaging material supply for the Group internally while expanding market outreach externally. He hoped to forge closer cooperation with Leaf Biotechnology on R&D and application of new biomass materials, accelerate their adoption in bottle caps, wine bottles and bottle cradles. Leveraging green packaging materials, the two sides would join strengths to fuel sustainable growth for both parties and the green upgrading of the packaging industry.

Lv Lijuan stated that eco-friendly green packaging represents an irreversible industry trend, and biomass materials will become a key development direction for alcoholic beverage packaging. As an essential link covering the full lifecycle of wine packaging, the Company is obligated to implement ESG principles and pursue green development. She proposed deeper collaboration with Leaf Biotechnology in green, eco-friendly and anti-counterfeit packaging. Based on balanced consideration of cultural compatibility, quality acceptability and cost rationality, both parties shall advance R&D and technical reserve of innovative biomass materials to underpin the eco-transformation of packaging sector.

Xu Hai introduced Leaf Biotechnology as a state-level high-tech enterprise specializing in high-performance bio-based materials, focused on the R&D and production of biomass products featuring bio-origin, low-carbon environmental friendliness, superior performance and wide application. He detailed raw material sources, product properties and application scenarios of new biomass materials, highlighting their strengths in biodegradability, environmental protection, mechanical property, heat resistance and gas barrier performance. Leaf Biotechnology expected to seal cooperative ties with the Technical Development Company to jointly research and commercialize biomass-based packaging for alcoholic products.Relevant principals from the Design Center and Corporate Management & Quality Department of the Technical Development Company attended the on-site meeting; representatives from Longshi Bottle Cap Company joined via video conference.
