On April 26, the special event focusing on synthetic biology platform development and technology investment promotion of the 3rd China (Anhui) Science and Technology Exchange Fair was held in Binhu, Hefei. More than 300 representatives from universities, research institutes, enterprises and investment & financing institutions at home and abroad gathered to discuss cutting-edge technologies and development routes of synthetic biology under the theme of "Synthesize All Things, Set Sail Brilliantly in Anhui". By combining high-throughput screening & enzyme modification systems with continuous production and green chemistry technologies and adopting advanced synthetic biology approaches, Jingke has successfully built production lines for amoxicillin intermediates via bioprocess and fusidic acid via fermentation. The new manufacturing lines feature remarkable merits: mild reaction conditions and drastically cut energy consumption, eco-friendly production with greatly reduced discharge of three industrial wastes, high-purity finished products and outstanding economic benefits, setting an innovative benchmark for green and sustainable industrial development.
